At Iron Sharpens Iron Counseling, our mission is to provide compassionate, faith-based counseling to individuals and communities impacted by trauma. Grounded in the healing power of God’s love and guided by clinical best practices, we walk alongside those who are hurting, offering hope, restoration, and a path toward wholeness. We believe that through faith, truth, and connection, healing is not only possible but promised. Our goal is to create a safe, sacred space where individuals can process their pain, reclaim their stories, and move forward in strength and peace.
At Iron Sharpens Iron, I hope to provide you with a safe place to develop a deeper understanding of your relationship with yourself and God. We can achieve this through fellowship, discipleship, and mentorship, all within a clinically therapeutic setting.
At Iron Sharpens Iron Counseling, I have years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life's challenges. We specialize in a wide range of areas, including:
Life can be challenging, and at times we find ourselves feeling "stuck." Many of us have lived through frightening or traumatic events—whether personally, through the experiences of someone we love, or within our communities. These experiences can leave a lasting impact, and it's not always easy to let it go. In fact, without intentional healing, the effects can linger for years—or even a lifetime.
Sometimes, we might not recognize the impact right away. It may take months or even years before we begin to experience troubling thoughts, nightmares, or emotional distress. In some cases, we may not even remember the original event, yet still struggle with the symptoms it left behind.
For a long time, the connection between these kinds of experiences and emotional or psychological symptoms was overlooked. Issues such as substance use, depression, anxiety, phobias, flashbacks, delusions, or feeling disconnected from reality were often treated without considering their roots. However, in recent years, research and clinical experience have increasingly confirmed what many have long suspected: traumatic experiences can play a significant role in the development of these symptoms.
Right now, I am seeing clients through Headway. Please schedule a session at:
